The removal of both thermal and cavity insulation and the complete clean of the roof void, followed by the re-insulating of pipework and cavity insulation, when the asbestos removal works were complete.

Access to the roof void was achieved via a mobile scaffold. Personnel were each provided with an extendable ‘Oxford safety mat’ system and harnesses which were attached to safety lines throughout the project.

All air monitoring, personnel testing, background and leak testing were carried out with satisfactory results, recording levels of airborne fibres to be below the exposure and fibre assessments provided.

4 stage clearance was completed on the first inspection and testing carried out, enabling the project to be completed on time and within budget.
