Exciting developments in our circular economy journey! At John F Hunt, we’re proud to collaborate with Saint-Gobain’s Glass Forever programme to redefine the future of glass recycling and reuse. This partnership has enabled us to turn end-of-life glass into sustainable materials, ensuring nothing goes to waste.
At 180 Piccadilly, our efforts have delivered measurable success:
- 12.1 tonnes of cullet returned for reuse.
- 14.5 tonnes of virgin raw materials saved.
- 8.5 tonnes of CO₂ emissions avoided.
These achievements highlight the tangible benefits of integrating circular economy practices into construction. Every tonne of cullet recycled reduces carbon and sulphur dioxide emissions and conserves precious natural resources.
Through advanced technologies and innovative programmes like Glass Forever, we’re making informed, eco-conscious decisions that drive positive environmental impact. This is just the beginning, as we aim to scale these efforts across all projects, setting a benchmark for sustainability in the demolition and construction industries.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to take charge of sustainable construction and circular economy initiatives!
