John formed John F Hunt Contracting Ltd in 1982 initially specialising in Industrial and Chemical Plant Dismantling. The business, later renamed John F Hunt Demolition Ltd, became the parent of the Group. Today, known as John F Hunt Ltd, it is recognised as being one of the leading demolition companies in the UK.
John made a name for himself in the deconstruction of Large Panel Tower Blocks and was asked to Co-Author the first NFDC Guidance Notes on the Demolition of Tower Blocks over 10 Storeys. He went on to be instrumental in promoting High Reach mechanical demolition and the use of Hydraulic Attachments within the Industry.
The John F Hunt Group now consists of a number of specialist companies and employs well over 450 staff throughout its 10 depots and offices. Apart from Demolition, activities include Land Remediation, Plant & Tool Hire, Power Generation, Asbestos Removal, House Building, Lifting Gear Testing, Stonemasonry and a Health and Safety Consultancy with three UKAS accredited laboratories.
Supported by a team of experienced directors, John is responsible for the day-to-day management of John F Hunt Ltd and has ultimate responsibility for all Group Health and Safety matters, Director recruitment, formulation of company policies, ISO compliance, marketing & branding, customer relationships, consultancy work, company vision, direction and expansion.
The Group has achieved ISO 9001 “Quality Management Systems”, ISO 14001 “Environmental Management Systems” and ISO 45001 Health and Safety Management accreditation.

David Hazelwood
Associate Director – Power
David became Associate Director for John F Hunt Power in January 2022.
Having joined the company as a Yard Assistant in 2013, he has worked in several roles across the business including Hire Controller, Business Development Manager and Regional Sales Manager.
In his current role as part of the leadership team, David plays a key role in operations, marketing, and sales, whilst maintaining account management responsibilities for a portfolio of key accounts.
His experience of working in roles across all levels of the business is a key asset to the management team.
Prior to working for John F Hunt, David studied for a bachelor’s degree in Media & Communication at Nottingham Trent University, gaining a skill base which has helped the business grow it’s online presence in recent years.
Paul Bland
CEO
Paul joined John F Hunt Demolition in the role of Managing Director bringing with him 25 years of construction experience, the majority of which has been spent in complex demolition and large scale basement construction. Due to a company restructure, Paul has since become CEO of John F Hunt Limited.
He previously worked for a number of main contractors before his former position with a major specialist demolition and civil engineering business, where he held varied roles across the Group spanning commercial, operational, pre-construction and major projects over a 20 year period.
With Paul’s all-round experience, including 15 years as a Main Board Director, he not only has a wealth of knowledge of the demolition and civil engineering sector, but also experience in the strategic planning and management of a major specialist business.
With a clear focus on collaboration, continued business relationships and the best value for clients, he demands a pro-active approach to project delivery continuously seeking ways to innovate, value engineer and improve best practise in order to achieve the client’s key drivers.
With the assistance of the senior management, Paul is responsible for all strategic future planning and the overall operation of John F Hunt Ltd, whilst providing support to his team to deliver complex projects safely and professionally.
Glen Clark

Managing Director
Glen joined the Group as Managing Director of John F Hunt Ltd with over 25 years of experience in the Construction and Demolition Industry.
With a vision and purpose to drive organisational change, his strong leadership proficiency and extensive knowledge of developing and managing operations is clearly demonstrated throughout his career. He possesses excellent communication skills enabling him to establish strong relationships with our clients and is responsible for ensuring that their objectives are met. He oversees all operational and commercial matters throughout the project delivery process, from budget stage to tender submission, final delivery and completion.
Working alongside the CEO of John F Hunt Limited, all the Directors, Project Managers, Contracts Managers and demolition teams, Glen provides Senior Managerial support. His reputation to deliver greater value through innovation, vision, strategic contribution and clarity is a valuable resource to both the Demolition business and our Clients.
Glen began his career as a Trainee Surveyor and is used to working on large inner-city projects and as a result has built up a considerable aptitude in tackling the logistical constraints often involved with them. He joined John F Hunt Demolition for the first time as a Quantity Surveyor in 1991, graduating to Director over 14 years. Glen left to become a Business Stream Leader, setting up a specialist Demolition Division of a multinational construction company, where he remained for 10 years. This role involved understanding detailed temporary work schemes, estimating, planning and over viewing of all operational issues. He moved on in 2015 and became the Project Director for a large engineering business, before returning to John F Hunt Demolition in 2017. His key experience and qualifications include Construction Site Managers Safety Certificate, CSCS, CITB, ARCA, IDE BS 6187, IOSH, IIF-phase 3 and the Asta Power Project.
Ian Saville

Group Finance Director
Ian joined John F Hunt in October 2016 as Group Finance Director and is responsible for all aspects of finance strategy within the group. With over 30 years’ experience within the service sector, including 14 years within the construction industry at C A Blackwell Group, he qualified as a chartered certified accountant in 2001 and has many years’ experience in Human Resources and IT.
Sam Hamilton

Pre Construction Director
Since joining John F Hunt in 2011 Sam has held managerial positions across the limited business in operations, commercial and pre-construction teams, working on many large scale, complex demolition and construction projects.
In 2016 Sam took over the role of Pre Construction Director managing the day to day running of the Pre-Construction Department. Working with the Board of Directors, Sam also assists with the strategic forward planning and business growth.
Sam takes a proactive approach to developing cost effective schemes and managing the client experience from initial feasibility stage through to contract stage.
Davinder Reehal

Technical Director
Davinder joined John F Hunt Demolition as a Project Manager in November 2005 whereupon he was promoted to Contracts Manager and now holds the position of Technical Director.
He has over 20 years’ experience in Site Management including design and build projects, infrastructure works programs, staff appraisals, safety principles, discipline and development of teams.
From 1998 to 2005 Davinder was the Senior Project Manager for a major construction company specialising in building and civil engineering infrastructure for the rail industry, working on high value projects for London Underground and Docklands Light Railway.
With much training, experience and numerous qualifications under his belt he is proficient in the use of many software packages and has excellent project & program management skills.
Davinder has in depth understanding of LU Engineering Standards, Network Rail and Crossrail systems & procedures. He has detailed experience in Magnox Nuclear procedures, NEC Form of Contact and a thorough Construction knowledge of safe systems of work.
Lance Wimble
Head of Civils and Structures – John F Hunt Ltd
Lance joined John F Hunt Limited in 2018 becoming Operations Director in 2019, having been in the reinforced concrete frame and civils industry since 2000, both in the UK and abroad.
He has a wealth of experience in all elements of concrete frame and deep basements. Skilled in the preconstruction process, planning and project programming from initial tender, Lance then sees projects through to delivery for continuity and ensures a successful handover to clients.
Educated in the Royal School of Military Engineering, Lance has a notable “can-do” approach and is experienced with delivering all scales and types of build, from multi-story residential high rise, to tight city centre commercial builds.
Joining the Army after leaving school, Lance served in the UK, Kenya and Bosnia, carrying out construction activities including the construction of schools and dams in Kenya, a tank park and refugee camps Bosnia and both temporary and permanent bridges in the UK.
He has proven experience of managing multiple sites and project teams at any one time, including generating and presenting monthly progress reports. Lance has ensured successful delivery of projects safely, to the required standard, on program, and on budget for some of the UK’s largest ‘blue chip’ main contractors and clients.
David Sharwood
Civil Estimating Director – John F Hunt Ltd
David joined John F Hunt Ltd in 2018 as Civil Estimating Director, having worked for 20 years as the sole Groundwork and Civils Estimator for a large demolition group. Prior to this, he spent many years at AMEC Civil Engineering and has worked on numerous high-profile projects throughout his career. He therefore provides John F Hunt with much time served practical experience, technical knowledge and forward-thinking solution capabilities.
Simon Wilkinson
Business Development Director – John F Hunt Limited
He started his career as an articled pupil quantity surveyor with one of the largest UK construction companies and initially found himself working on the final phase of the Barbican Arts Centre in London.
After 17 years as a surveyor, a mid-career change took Simon towards much more client facing roles, including several years as Business Development Director with one of the UK’s most respected multi-disciplinary engineering consultancies.
For 13 years prior to joining John F Hunt, Simon went back into tier 1 main contracting, where he was responsible for developing and implementing the strategy to grow the company’s share of London’s “Blue Chip” private sector work.
His unique perspective on the industry, and passion for working collaboratively, have enabled him to develop a network built on trusted relationships. He has a real desire to play an active part in seeing the industry improve not just in respect of technology, innovation, and the shift towards net zero, but most importantly, through a genuine cultural shift towards true collaboration.
Mike O’Connor
Commercial Director – John F Hunt Ltd
Mike O’Connor, who joined John F Hunt Limited as Commercial Director, is a highly experienced and versatile leader, who has worked within the UK construction sector for over 30 years, in both operational and functional leadership roles.
Originally joining Tarmac Construction as a trainee quantity surveyor, Mike progressed through the ranks working in the building, civil engineering and infrastructure sectors, under public, private, joint venture (JV) and Private Finance Initiative (PFI) arrangements, on his journey to Commercial Director.
He also spent time as Supply Chain and Procurement Director, Managing and Executive Director of various Plc subsidiary businesses, therefore brings with him a breadth and depth of diverse skill and knowledge to John F Hunt.
In his supply chain and procurement role, he remains a champion of sustainable and ethical procurement, local and SME sector spend and an advocate of sector specific category management. He strives for and adopts modern methods of construction, innovative technologies and solutions. Being a QS at heart there is always a focus on risk management and continuous improvement seeking to enhance value and reduce cost.
Mike has strong commercial governance and proficiency with Stakeholders, Clients, Main Contractors and Specialist Subcontractors. His skills in the civils’ and major projects arena, dealing with commercial budgets, business plans, periodic forecasts as well as monthly project and business reporting, bring additional strength to the team as we move forward with the growth of the Group in the coming years. He is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and has sat on various RICS Boards and working groups including the drafting of RICS standards for quantity surveyors (the “Black Book”). He is a supporter of professional and personal development, is a web class trainer and sits as an assessor for the RICS Assessment of Professional Competence (APC).
Rai Boix
Environmental Director – John F Hunt Environmental Division
Rai joined the John F Hunt Environmental Division as the Environmental Director in December 2019, his experience and knowledge of the asbestos and decommissioning industry extending to over 34 years.
Beginning at ‘factory floor’ level as an Operative, he worked through the various layers of supervision and management to the role of Director, which he has held for over 16 years.
Rai’s operational skills are founded on the knowledge gained from a working career in which he has delivered projects in a wide spectrum of environments, from historic buildings to rail infrastructure and the nuclear industry, to name but a few. This expertise has taken him overseas to Spain, France, Malta, Saudi Arabia and Russia.
He is ultimately responsible for all the activities of the Environmental Division, where his entire focus is dedicated to the generation of growth and operational stability with the support of his team.
In addition to the knowledge obtained over three decades, Rai holds IOSH Managing Safely, Safety for Executives (EEF Sheffield), P402 (BIOH), Asbestos Removal CITB, ACAD Asbestos Contracts Managers.
Mark Blackmore
Managing Director – RKD Consultant Limited
RKD Consultant Limited, who have a reputation for being one of London’s leading designers of Temporary Works schemes, joined the John F Hunt Group in February 2023, Hunt’s having secured a majority shareholding. The award-winning company, which works hand in hand with John F Hunt Limited, as well as totally independently, has worked on some of the most iconic and complex projects in the capital, including Battersea Power Station, Chelsea Barracks, Kensington Odeon, and the basement extension of Claridge’s.
As a Director of RKD since 2012, Mark brings over twenty years of design and construction experience working for Contractors. He has a level of knowledge that allows RKD to develop the most appropriate and buildable construction solutions, managing the development of temporary works and build sequences from concept to installation and removal. Construction professionals who have worked with Mark frequently seek his assistance on new work.
Mark worked with Skanska Construction for ten years with design office secondments before managing Engineering for ISG Construction for two years. He then joined RKD and continues to provide exceptional structural engineering schemes, whilst moving into the role of Managing Director to drive the business forward.
Mark has MEng in Civil Engineering and is a Member of the Institutions of Structural Engineers (MIStructE) and Civil Engineers (MICE).
Adam Pellew
Director – RKD Consultant Limited
RKD Consultant Limited have a reputation for being one of London’s leading designers of Temporary Works schemes and joined the John F Hunt Group in February 2023, Hunt’s having secured a majority shareholding. The award-winning company, which works hand in hand with John F Hunt Limited, as well as totally independently, has worked on some of the most iconic and complex projects in the capital, including Battersea Power Station, Chelsea Barracks, Kensington Odeon, and the basement extension of Claridge’s Hotel.
Adam was one of the three original founding Directors of RKD and with over 30 years of experience in Engineering, he has worked with leading organisations within both research and consultancy in Geotechnics, Foundations and Structures.
He spent his early years at Mott MacDonald in both the UK and Hong Kong, followed by four years PhD research at Imperial College into piled foundations and then seven years at Arup (UK) before joining RKD in 2007. He has provided expert advice in relation to construction problems, whilst winning and delivering substantial works packages, project managing and leading the geotechnical design side. These jobs included several deep basements in London such as Heron Tower, The Leadenhall Building, Project Lateral, Arora Hotel T5 and 23 Saville Row.
Adam has a PhD in Engineering, an MSc in Soil Mechanics and Environmental Geotechnics, BEng in Civil Engineering and holds memberships with the Institution of Civil Engineers (MICE) and the British Geotechnical Association. He is also the author of numerous construction articles within publications across the globe.
John Fenner

Group Compliance Director
John has extensive knowledge and experience in both the Public and Private Sector, including; the US Government, Local Government, Finance, Manufacturing, Demolition, Construction and Project Management.
He has successfully implemented ISO 9001, 14001 and BS OHSAS 18001 in all four John F Hunt Hire Services Companies located at nine separate locations around the UK. He achieved BS OHSAS 18001 for John F Hunt Demolition in June 2013, as well as ISO 9001, 14001 and BS OHSAS 18001 for John F Hunt Remediation in January 2017. John also manages Demolition’s existing ISO 9001 and 14001 Management Systems as well as the Groups other Certifications, Awards and Memberships.
John oversees our Asbestos Survey and Consultancy Division’s UKAS Accreditation (ISO/IEC 17020 and 17025) Inspection and Test and Integrated Management System (ISO 9001, 14001 and BS OHSAS 18001).
As a Qualified Integrated Management System and Lead Auditor in both Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental Management systems he is capable of conducting first, second and third party audits. He has also developed, implemented and managed Management Systems to meet the requirements of ISO 27001 Information Security Management Systems and ISO 50001 Energy Management Systems.
In the American Embassy, London, John successfully developed and implemented management systems to meet the requirements of ISO 9001, this Embassy being the first in the World to achieve this accolade.
As a result, John received the highest award bestowed upon a non US citizen in the State Department, the ‘Superior Honour Award’ for ‘Exceptional Service’ to the Government of the United States of America. This award was the catalyst for John being awarded the Fellowship of the Chartered Quality Institute, Chartered Quality Practitioner.
John has also become a Fellow of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management.
Alison Sherring
Group Marketing Director – John F Hunt Group & Marketing Director – TechVertu Ltd
Alison joined John F Hunt in 2001, originally in the role of New Business Development and Marketing Manager, before focusing purely on marketing and design.
The John F Hunt Group has expanded from 4 companies when she joined, to 22 currently, with marketing, photography and graphic design having changed immeasurably during that period . Alison manages the marketing for the whole Group, both digital and paper and was promoted to Group Marketing Director in 2017.
The creation of a new company called TechVertu, for which she is the Marketing Director, has been the latest project, providing a central in-house hub to manage the Group’s day to day IT and Marketing requirements. As a company in its own right, it also provides a comprehensive web design, maintenance, hosting, branding and IT service, to companies outside the John F Hunt Group.
Since 2013 Alison has run a yearly Charity Clay Shooting Day for the Birdshot Uveitis Society, to raise funds for research into what is a rare and potentially blinding eye disease, for which there is currently no cure. The day at the Royal Berkshire Shooting School hosts more than 100 guns and raises on average £55k per year.
Alison has also worked on various interior design projects, the latest of which has been a 4 bedroom luxury villa within the Four Seasons resort in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt. Working closely with the engineering department, this project was both structural and design driven and will be marketed for high class rental.
From the late 1980’s to the late 1990’s she managed ‘International Supersports Cup’ with her partner, which soon grew into a successful Historic CanAm Motor Sport Series, racing all over the world and in later years becoming the support race for Formula One. Alison coordinated all the teams, organised travel, vehicle carnets, race entries, circuit programmes, hosted prize givings and glamorous parties. She was the link between race control, the pits, paddock and 65 drivers, their teams, sponsors and families. She managed the design, manufacture and distribution of ISC’s bespoke race clothing, including logo creation and all their marketing material. Manic, but fun days!
Prior to the crazy world of Motor Racing, Alison travelled abroad for 6 years during the 1980’s, doing a variety of work from yacht delivery in Greece, a knife throwing act in Spain, fruit picking in Israel and managing a night club in Gibraltar.
Over the years she has managed the marketing for a successful tennis academy, a tile import business, a ground anchoring company and created programmes for theatre productions in Brighton. A wide and varied marketing and design career!
Ben Williams
CEO – John F Hunt Regeneration Ltd
Joining John F Hunt Regeneration in 2013 as Managing Director, Ben possesses a wealth of technical, practical and commercial knowledge associated with the redevelopment of brown field land and the management of environmental liabilities. He is an established industry professional who has experience of working in both environmental consultancy and contracting for both public and private sector clients including, banks, funding institutions, multinationals, venture capitalists, lawyers and property companies. Ben has worked on high profile projects including the remediation, enabling and redevelopment of sites which have had a legacy of industrial usage. He is well versed in working with a variety of clients including those involved with industrial, manufacturing, retail, house building, energy and infrastructure sectors.
Steve Forster

With a career in construction, demolition and decommissioning spanning over 30 years, Steve is John F Hunt Regeneration’s highly experienced Chief Operating Officer and MD of the Industrial Division, having held senior positions with leading construction and demolition companies across the UK.
With the ambition to play a key role in improving performance and high standards on every Project, he ultimately delivers environmentally friendly and safe schemes for the work force and clients.
Dr Samuel Hall
Managing Director – John F Hunt Regeneration Ltd
With over 20 years’ experience within the contaminated land remediation industry, working both as a consultant and contractor, Sam provides John F Hunt Regeneration with a comprehensive technical, operational and regulatory skill set.
He has worked across several sectors including residential development, commercial development, industrial, major land regeneration and utilities.
A Chartered Waste Manager and Qualified Person, Sam promotes ‘sustainable remediation solutions’ at all stages throughout the project lifecycle.
In addition, Sam undertakes Research and Development projects focusing on novel remedial technologies, where several technologies have been successfully implemented at full-scale.
Sam is involved in every section of a project, from design, regulatory negotiations and implementation, through to verification and close-out.
Saul Disbury
Operations Director – John F Hunt Regeneration Ltd
Joining John F Hunt Remediation as Contracts Manager, Saul was made Operations Director in 2020, having over 25 years of industry experience. He has an in-depth knowledge of the market and a broad understanding of the key remediation technologies enhanced with a civil engineering background and how these can be implemented in the most cost-effective manner on site.
He has significant experience in earthworks, civil engineering and land remediation of large, strategic brownfield sites. His knowledge extends to traditional bulk earthworks, management of legacy coal tar contamination in sensitive aquifers and operation of thermal desorption plants for ex-situ treatment of contaminated soil.
His focus and reputation is built by delivering projects within programmed deadlines, commercial targets and specific client requirements.
Steve Johnson
Pre-Construction Director – John F Hunt Regeneration Ltd
Steve Johnson joined John F Hunt Regeneration as Pre-Construction Director for Remediation and Enabling, bringing with him over 25-years’ experience of earthworks, civils and remediation. Based in the Midlands, Steve has strong historical connections in the construction and development sectors.
Having held senior positions at McCoy, Van Elle and CA Blackwell he now has responsibility for the Remediation Pre-construction Team. His role is to manage the tendering process and seamlessly transfer projects over to the operational delivery teams. Steve is visible during the initial stages of the projects to ensure a smooth transition from the tender stage, into a successful live project.
Keith Kelsey

Associate Director – Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality for Regeneration Ltd
Keith joined John F Hunt in 2013 but has been involved in the construction industry for 26 years. He served an apprenticeship as a Lift Engineer, progressing onto suspended access equipment as a mechanical and electrical engineer covering London and the Home Counties with clients including Canary Wharf and the main DS7 Tower.
He moved into designing fall arrest/restraint systems which began his progression into a health and Safety, working for a large demolition contractor as their Health and Safety officer and subsequently for The Health & Safety People Ltd as their Health and Safety Consultant.
His responsibility within John F Hunt Demolition is for the management of the company’s health, safety and environmental procedures and developing, implementing and maintaining the company 18001 and 14001 systems.

Steve is responsible for site-based employees, the Board of Directors, and clients on Health, Safety, and Compliance matters on our complex regeneration contracts throughout the UK.
In his spare time, Steve is passionate about all forms of music (as long as it’s good!), food, socialising, and his family.
Dr Adam Fisher
Ground Engineering Director – John F Hunt Regeneration Ltd
Adam is widely regarded as one of the UK’s leading Geotechnical Engineers and brings over 25 years’ experience in ground engineering and ground risk management to the Regeneration team.
Dr Fisher, previously a Partner at Campbell Reith, joins the company with an impressive international portfolio which includes leading a Ground Risk Management Team within Western Australia’s high value mining sector for Calibre Global.
His experience allows the business to support schemes with complex ground engineering elements and further strengthens its ability to be “a trusted advisor” to clients.
Adam started his career in 1994 working for and being mentored by Bristol University’s Dr Brian Hawkins, while completing his PhD. Following such a strong introduction to consultancy, he further progressed his knowledge and experience at Parkman and WSP prior to 10 years as Director at Hydrock. From 2011 he worked in Australia’s iron ore mining industry for three years, on complex, rapid growth projects for demanding mining blue-chip companies, before returning to the UK and joining Campbell Reith.
Working alongside regeneration and civil engineering contractors, Adam decided to cross over from pure consultancy and having worked with Regeneration to deliver projects with great success in the past, John F Hunt was the obvious place to make the change.
Martin Lavery

Martin is the Managing Director for Hire Centres, Plant Hire, Thameside Lifting and Thameside Supplies and has been with the company since 1995 when he joined as Operations Manager. He was made Operations Director in 2000 and has been instrumental in the growth and development of all the companies.
Previously Martin held similar positions for independent and national hire companies prior to joining the John F Hunt Group and has over 30 years experience in the industry.
Dave O’Brien
Operations Director – John F Hunt Hire Centres Ltd
Dave O’Brien joined John F Hunt Hire Centres as a Manager in 2007 and was promoted to Operations Director in 2019.
He has over 30 years’ of valuable experience within the tool hire industry, beginning his career on the hire desk of a nationwide small tool hire company in 1989, working his way through various promotions to Senior Hire Controller.
Together with senior management Dave left this company in 1991 to start up a new small tools hire company within the M25, where he was promoted to Manager in 1992. The company grew to become a nationally recognised brand, however when it was taken over in 2007 Dave decided to leave following 15 years of service.
John Yeldham
Operations Director – John F Hunt Plant Hire
John Yeldham became Operations Director for John F Hunt Plant Hire in 2019.
Having joined the company in 2004, John worked for 18 months on the hire desk, before progressing to Depot Manager in 2006. He gained his Certificate of Professional Competence and became the Operators Licence Holder for John F Hunt Plant Hire & John F Hunt Hire Centres during this period.
John began his working life completing a 5 year City & Guilds Plant Maintenance apprenticeship within the Ports industry, after a brief spell within the Pilot Plant of a Motor Manufacturer. He then returned to the Ports Industry within plant maintenance, cargo handling and building services holding operational and managerial positions.
Leon Carter
Sales Director – John F Hunt Hire Centres
Leon began his career in the hire industry with a local tool hire company. He took the opportunity to work for a National supplier before moving onto join a leading groundwork organisation. It was here that he undertook a path in sales in the company’s Operated Road Sweeper Division, at which he excelled.
He joined John F Hunt Hire Centres in 2009 as a Sales Representative and went on to become the Sales Manager after continuous success across the Hire Group.
Bringing in a large volume of customers and maintaining strong relationships with key accounts, whilst overseeing the sales team, Leon has been instrumental in the company’s growth, hence his promotion to Sales Director for Hire Centres.
Kevin Davies
Managing Director – John F Hunt Power Ltd
Kevin began his working career in 1973 as a diesel apprentice engineer. After qualifying in 1979, he changed employer and went to work for a large specialist hire company working on mechanical and electrical equipment. Within four months he was promoted to Field Service Engineer and within a further six months, was promoted to Depot Foreman, becoming the youngest foreman within the company.
Kevin joined John F Hunt Power in 2005 and over the years has occupied several positions within the company beginning with Technical Sales Manager, where he maintained existing business and secured new business.
Promotion to Depot Manager saw him responsible for the day to day running of the business which included achieving financial targets and controlling the sales and services departments, reporting to directors on a monthly basis. As Operations Director of John F Hunt Power, he oversaw the operation, sales and service departments, ensuring controlled management procedures were undertaken in all the depots throughout the country.
Kevin is now Managing Director of John F Hunt Power.
David Hunt

David joined John F Hunt Power as Sales Director, following 30 years within multinational finance houses both in the UK and across Europe. Having greatly benefitted the growth of the company in recent years, David has now undertaken the role of Managing Director.
He brought with him a wealth of experience in developing business relationships with strategic customers and took control of the development of new projects, progressing existing business contacts and evolving new opportunities.
With this invaluable knowledge, David is perfectly placed to take the business forward, whilst overseeing the expansion and efficient running of the depots throughout the country.
Rocky Sivell
Regional Operations Director – John F Hunt Power Ltd
Rocky became the Regional Operations Director for John F Hunt Power in 2019 and oversees the London and Bristol depots.
Having joined the company in 2011, Rocky worked for 3 years on the hire desk, progressing to Depot Manager where over 5 years he helped grow the London operation to the progressive business that is it today, gaining his CPC Transport Managers licence within that period.
Due to his involvement through all levels of the company, he has an excellent understanding of the Power Industry, which he brings to his new role as Regional Operations Director, to help continue to grow the business throughout the UK.
Rocky began his career in plant hire in 2006 through to 2009 when he moved to the generator industry, working within the Finning Group at Energyst CAT Rental, until the London branch was closed and he moved to John F Hunt Power.
Stuart Davies
Regional Operations Director – John F Hunt Power Ltd
Stuart Davies is the Regional Operations Director for John F Hunt Power overseeing all operations at Halesowen in the West Midlands, Birtley in the North East and Livingston in Scotland.
Stuart began his career at John F Hunt Power in June 2006, becoming the Hire Controller based at the newly opened Midlands depot. Over the following 7 years he took on more responsibility, assisting in the continued growth of the company and setting up the Newcastle depot, setting up processes and procedures which were rolled out across the rest of the depots.
In September 2013 Stuart was appointed as the Depot Manager, coinciding with Power’s move to the larger Halesowen site. In May 2016 he also became the Transport Manager for Halesowen and Newcastle following the successful completion of the Certificate of Professional Competence in Road Haulage. Stuart also holds the Operating Licence for the Scotland depot.
Over the last 13 years he has worked closely with all the depots, managing their extensive portfolio of event customers, helping to build excellent working relationships, resulting in John F Hunt Power becoming one of the top providers of generators in the UK.
Prior to his career at John F Hunt, Stuart worked in secure records management, which involved liaising with blue chip companies, including major banks, insurance companies and local NHS in order to retrieve documentation or data back-ups which were stored securely offsite.
Ian Vincent
Regional Sales Director – John F Hunt Power Ltd
Ian joined John F Hunt Power as a Regional Sales Manager for the South East and London in January 2016, before being promoted in early 2019 to Regional Sales Director.
Having spent 4 years working with another power generation company, Ian brought with him experience within the temporary power industry, where he had built up a loyal customer base.
As well as being responsible for a number of key accounts across the UK, Ian has identified new opportunities in the London area and oversees the Sales Managers across the South East, whilst consistently delivering an excellent customer service.
Matt Walker
Regional Sales Director – John F Hunt Power Ltd
Matt joined John F Hunt Power in 2009, as a Regional Sales Manager at our Midlands depot.
Bringing with him a loyal customer base and years of experience in the generator industry, Matt has gone on to secure a number of key accounts for the business and was promoted to Regional Sales Director in early 2019. As well as being responsible for a number of key clients across the UK, Matt also oversees our team of Sales Managers in the Midlands and South West.
A career in customer services roles started with his first full time job working the TSB Bank. Since then, sales roles in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter, as well as spending time with 3 other generator hire companies, have given Matt invaluable experience across a number of different industries.
Phillip Barnes
Regional Sales Director – John F Hunt Power Ltd
Phil joined John F Hunt Power as a Regional Sales Manager for Teesside and North Yorkshire in February 2019, before his promotion to Regional Sales Director in November 2021, managing the Sales teams in Scotland and the North-East of England.
He began his working life in Power Tool Sales and then Hire, progressing from Showroom Assistant to Hire Controller and finally Senior Sales Advisor, before deciding on a complete change of career and moving into the Travel industry.
At Going Places Travel, Phil became Assistant Manager, until deciding to leave London in 1999 and move to the Northeast of England after meeting his future wife. An opportunity arose with American Express Corporate Travel Services in Newcastle Upon Tyne where he undertook the role of Deputy Team Leader, supervising staff, carrying out training and experiencing much customer interaction.
Finally, in 2005 Phil returned to the Hire Industry undertaking a number of roles within Plant & Tool Hire, before moving into Power Generation, working in managerial positions before bringing his experience and knowledge to John F Hunt Power.
Richard Denholm
Managing Director – Morris Machinery
Following a long-standing business relationship, the John F Hunt Group purchased Morris Site Machinery and its assets in 2022. Richard Denholm was at that time Sales Director and shortly after becoming part of the Group, has become Managing Director.
Morris supply industry recognised quality equipment, namely Denyo (Generators), Arcgen (Welders), Hilta (Pumps and Pressure Washers), with their latest addition to the portfolio being AEM (Super Silent Generators).
Richards working career began as an apprentice motor mechanic with a Ford dealer in Edinburgh, before transferring to a Ford Dealer in Adelaide, South Australia, where he very quickly graduated to overhauling V8 engines and auto gearboxes.
After 4 years in Australia, he returned to the UK where he worked as a plant fitter foreman with Nixon Hire in Edinburgh, and took an interest in a specialist field, looking after the Lincoln Nomad welding fleet with Ford 2700E diesel engines.
He not only developed and improved generators and welders, but started selling them to the Hire industry, working for HSS and Speedy, then moving to manufacturer Genset, as an engineer working on Italian produced Welders and Generators. He quickly became Service manager and within a year was made Regional Manager for the Scottish Operation, before moving to Miller and then finally Morris Machinery.
Hadi Marashy
Managing Director – TechVertu
Hadi Marashy has a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science with Distributed System and a Master’s in Information Systems and Technology from City, University of London.
Before TechVertu was born in November 2017. Hadi used to work as a Head of IT & Infrastructure, while also managing his very own digital marketing company.
When TechVertu became a part of the John F Hunt Group, Hadi took over as Managing Director and he was also appointed Chief Technology Officer for the Group.
Andy Routledge
Managing Director – Ace Consultants Ltd
Andy has worked within the Construction, Asbestos Removal/Consultancy and Health & Safety industry for over 32 years. He joined Asbestos Consultants Europe Limited (ACE) in May 2015 as a Management Consultant, helping the business to install new management processes and procedures to assist it in establishing itself as a major provider of asbestos services throughout the UK.
Following a management restructure Andy took over the role of Managing Director in June 2018 and is now leading the management team towards, increasing the business’s position in the UK market.
His previous positions include the roles of Director, Health and Safety Director and Asbestos License holder for Henry Demolition from 1986 to 2002, securing and managing major demolition and asbestos removal projects from inner city blocks to power stations.
In 2002 Andy founded RDS Asbestos Management Consultants, as Managing Director, building the business and achieving UKAS accreditation for surveying, Air monitoring and Identification of Asbestos Fibres in Bulk samples. The company became a national provider for asbestos consultancy services specialising in the retail sector, its client base included Tesco, Mitchells and Butlers, Ladbrokes, Clarks Shoes, DJ Wetherspoons as well as several local authorities throughout the UK.
In 2011 the business was sold to one the UK’s largest asbestos groups, Silverdell Plc and became part of its analytical consultancy section along with Redhill Analysts. Andy remained with the business as a Management Consultant initially for RDS, and from 2013 for Redhill Analysts.

Jake Reeves
Operations Director – Ace Consultants Ltd
Jake joined ace in May 2005 as an already experienced Asbestos Surveyor and Analyst, progressing from Senior Surveyor to Project Manager and Operations Manager in the Survey Department. He is now the Operations Director based in the Bristol office, bringing with him over 16 years of practical industry experience in large scale projects throughout the domestic, commercial and Industrial sectors.
He is responsible for the running of the office and its workforce of 45 employees, ensuring that adequate resources are allocated to facilitate the highest quality of service, health and safety. He makes sure the company’s contractual obligations are met and the operational, commercial and financial performance of ace’s services meet the expectations of its customers.
Jake has achieved many industry and Customer Specific qualifications including a host of BOHS awards, First Aid at Work, CSCS and the National Grid’s BESC.
Ben Angell-James

As the Technical and Quality Director, one of the main components of Bens role is to ensure that the business functions that deliver products and services to customers do so in an efficient and cost effective manner. To achieve this he ensures that the Integrated management system (9001, 14001 and 18001) and its associated procedures are maintained, updated and continuously improved to match the companies operations and customers’ expectations.
Ben also provides professional quality and technical advice, guidance and support by interpreting health and safety legislation and guidance, international standards and developing policies and best practice which enable Aces managers and our employees to discharge their responsibilities effectively.
As well as holding numerous industry specific qualifications Ben is also a Certified Competent Person (Asbestos) and holds the NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
Kimberley Webb
Operations Director – Ace Consultants Ltd
Kimberley is one of ACE’s longest serving team members having joined ACE in June 2001 from the public sector where she was working for a Local Authority’s Asbestos Team. She commenced work with ACE as a trainee surveyor and progressed quickly through Lead Surveyor to Project Manager. She has gained experience in all aspects of Asbestos Surveying, Air Monitoring and Project Management working for ACE’s diverse client base. In recent years Kimberley has concentrated on the Rail clients and has developed ACE Rail as a separate division for which she became Rail Director before becoming an Operations Director. She is based in the Grays office bringing with her over 19 years of practical industry experience in large scale projects throughout the Domestic, Commercial and Industrial sectors.
She is responsible for all aspects of the Grays office, laboratory and its associated field staff, ensuring that adequate resources are allocated to facilitate the highest quality of service, health and safety. She makes sure the company’s contractual obligations are met and the operational, commercial and financial performance of ACE’s services meet the expectations of its customers and acting as the main asbestos consultant for a Rail Industry client.

Originally employed by the Power business as a Management Consultant, Jeff is now delighted to step up, in a full-time capacity as Commercial Director, as the firm continues its impressive growth.
Scott Exell

Scott Exell (MIDE) joined John F Hunt Limited as Operations Director for its demolition, civil engineering, enabling and structural business in November 2022.
He has held senior positions with some of the UK’s foremost construction companies over the past 19 years, including Bam Nuttall, Hochtief, McGee and most recently Erith.
Having successfully overseen projects with values upwards of £25m, he is experienced in the management of temporary works, liaising with third parties and project stakeholders, as well as coordinating the site activities of plant, equipment and labour. His holistic approach and ability to negotiate business contracts, budgets and programmes enable him to lead on all financial, quality and project performance requirements.
With his in-depth knowledge of health, safety and environmental issues, and his numerous qualifications and memberships, including the Institute of Demolition Engineers, Scott’s addition to the team strengthens John F Hunt’s ability to successfully deliver large and prestigious projects across central London.
Darren Potter

Darren joined John F Hunt Limited as Operations Director for its demolition, civil engineering, enabling and structural business in 2024.
He works alongside John F Hunt’s existing board members and contributes nearly 40 years’ experience within the construction industry, having held leadership positions at John Laing Construction, Expanded, Laing O’Rourke, Countryside Properties, Carey’s and more recently Balfour Beatty.
Previously involved in tendering and delivery of complex schemes with values upwards of 60 million, his aptitude for negotiation, execution, and hand over of high-profile projects will be an asset to the business.
With a holistic knowledge of sectors including that of aviation, MOD, HS2 infrastructure, rail, nuclear, health, education, marine, commercial, and residential, he has also headed up joint ventures in large piling, dredging, land reclamation, civils and utilities projects. His appointment adds to the significant experience within the business and complements the existing skill set.

Sven joined John F Hunt Ltd in 2020 as Concrete Structures Estimating Director, bringing with him over 20 years of estimating experience in the construction industry and over ten years in a managerial position.
Through his previous employment, Sven gained considerable knowledge working for a concrete frame and property development contractor in Essex, followed by one of the largest privately owned construction companies in the UK.
Whilst playing a vital role in these businesses, he built a proven track record for delivering exceptional results and forming excellent relationships with clients and subcontractors alike.
Having amassed excellent technical skills covering all elements of concrete frames, Sven’s proficiency spans residential, commercial and industrial developments and includes a number of high-profile projects throughout the UK.
He is an excellent communicator and negotiator and has built his reputation by delivering cost-effective solutions whilst building and maintaining key client relationships.
His role involves managing all aspects of the Structures Estimating Department, achieving target goals whilst maintaining the company’s core values.
Alex Clifford

Alex joined John F Hunt Regeneration having held senior positions with leading brownfield regeneration contractors and has over 20 years of experience within the remediation industry.
With significant expertise in contaminated land assessment, he brings in-depth technical, operational and commercial knowledge for the delivery of complex regeneration projects, having worked as both a consultant and contractor. His involvement in all project aspects from design, cost advice and regulatory negotiations to implementation and validation, provides an excellent skill set for the John F Hunt Regeneration team.
Proficient in remediation techniques across nuclear, commercial, residential and industrial sectors, Alex’s focus is on the safe completion of projects within programmed deadlines, client specifications and commercial targets, making him a huge asset to John F Hunt.
Alex Hathaway
Technical Director – John F Hunt Regeneration
Joining John F Hunt Regeneration as Pre-Construction Technical Director, Alex brings nearly 20 years of experience in contaminated land and complex redevelopment to the team. He possesses a comprehensive technical, operational, and regulatory skill set and is fully WAMITAB certified, qualifying him to oversee treatment processes on even the most challenging remediation projects.
As an industry professional, he has extensive experience in environmental and landfill contracting for public and private sector clients. Having held senior positions at McAuliffe and Sanctus, he now oversees the Remediation Pre-construction Team at John F Hunt. His responsibilities include managing the tendering process, maintaining client relations, and efficiently transitioning projects to the operational delivery teams.
Alex actively participates in the early stages of projects to ensure a seamless transition from the tender phase to successful execution. He has worked on high-profile projects involving the remediation, enabling, and redevelopment of sites with legacy issues. He is adept at collaborating with diverse clients, including those in the industrial, manufacturing, house building, and infrastructure sectors.
