Ben Williams, Managing Director of John F Hunt Remediation, sadly lost his son Harry in 2015 after he contracted meningitis at eight years old. Since then, with the close support of John F Hunt, Ben has organised incredible fundraising events to bring awareness to this terrible disease and raise money for the charity Meningitis Now. The John F Hunt Annual Golf Day 2021 was certainly no exception…
On the 1st of July, a total of 18 teams of 4 played a Ryder Cup format, on the Twenty Ten course at Celtic Manor in Newport. Group Finance Director, Ian Saville was team America captain, and Concrete Cutting’s Managing Director, Mick Blizzard was Team Europe captain.
After the golf, there was a prize presentation for the competition winners which included a plethora of trophies and bottles of champagne…

Later that evening, dinner and a raffle commenced, which soon turned into an exciting auction! David Hunt, Managing Director of John F Hunt Power undertook the role of auctioneer, with prizes including Premiership rugby tickets, a £500 American Golf voucher, and an Apple Watch.
The event was a fantastic success with over £16,300 raised on the day! In total, since Ben began fundraising for Meningitis Now, he has raised over £110,000!
