Works on the Oxted Gas holder drew to a very successful close, finishing two weeks ahead of programme, within budget and with high praise for Richard Plant (Site Manager) and the John F Hunt team from the client, St William.
“John F Hunt undertook the Oxted Gas holder project for St William achieving excellent results, working well with our team and completed ahead of programme. They approached the works with professionalism, bringing innovative solutions to a challenging scheme and we look forward to the chance of collaborating again on future projects..”, stated Joe Pallister, Project Manager for St James/St William London South.
We achieved a 5 star accreditation from Considerate Contractors and both the Client and the Local Authority, Tandridge District Council, were very pleased with the site overall.
The local Cancer Research outlet received our thanks, and a welcome donation, for their neighbourly help and use of their water supply.
The job even made the news in the local paper Caterham Independent, where Martin Fisher, Conservative leader of Tandridge District Council said: “On becoming Leader three years ago I committed to removing this rust-bucket and I am delighted that St. Williams the developer has achieved the first stage of its scheme so efficiently.”
The interest in the site was abundant as the Gas Holder had been a central feature of the community for decades. A local Photographer, Stella Scordellis of SMS Creative Photography even followed our works and created a Blog to catalogue progress. Take a look here.
