John F Hunt Regeneration recently hosted an inspiring site visit at the iconic Ironbridge Power Station regeneration project, welcoming Dr Nia Owen, Dr Aled Davies, and a group of enthusiastic 3rd-year Civil and Architectural Engineering students from Cardiff University.

The visit was more than just a tour; it was an opportunity to immerse the students in the fascinating world of large-scale brownfield regeneration. From the moment they stepped on-site, they were introduced to the transformation of Ironbridge into Benthall Grange, a prime example of Harworth Group plc’s bold vision to breathe new life into reclaimed land.

Our team shared the intricate details of how innovation, collaboration, and engineering expertise converge to overcome the challenges of projects like this. The students explored sustainable approaches to shaping vibrant spaces where people can live, work, and thrive, bringing theory to life in the most tangible way possible.

This experience showcased the monumental effort behind Benthall Grange’s transformation and highlighted the importance of teamwork and a shared commitment to creating a better future. It was an engaging and eye-opening day, sparking curiosity and ambition in the next generation of engineers and architects.

A huge thank you goes to Harworth Group plc, Peter Cleall, Nicholas Bill, and our dedicated site team, whose hard work made this visit successful. Their efforts ensured that the students were inspired, informed, and excited about the possibilities of sustainable regeneration.
We look forward to hosting more events like this. Keep an eye out for more updates from John F Hunt Regeneration as we continue to deliver transformative projects across the UK!
